Week 3

Hey everyone,    So today is super chaotic so this email might be a little whack. But I board the plane in 45 minutes. I wanna take a little time and reflect on the MTC. The MTC was actually super awesome as hard as it is to be on my own now, but the MTC gave me the ability to feel like a little at home. The friends I made will hopefully be lifelong friends I love them all so much. It was hard saying goodbye to some but I know they'll all be great missionaries.     My weekly scripture is 2 Nephi 2:6-8 I love it so much. Every week I'll share my favorite weekly scripture. Also I saw Elder Merrill before I left and that was super nice. He's going to be an amazing missionary. I'm excited to go teach the people of Reno Nevada, this will be an unforgettable experience.   Fun fact: I left my bottle of water in my side bag with water in it so the security people had to search through my bag and then walk all the way back out and empty the bott...

Week 2

Hey everyone!!!  My second week at the MTC is in the books. This week went by much quicker than last week. I have been learning a lot more tips on how to teach people in a way where it isn't overwhelming, which is awesome because that's usually where I struggled. Some things haven't changed such as how bad my Samsung phone is hahah it's so weird going from iPhone to Samsung its a huge change. I finally saw Michael Merrill at the MTC if some of you don't know him just know he's one of my best friends. It felt so good to finally see someone from back home it was super comforting.  Sunday was really tough because I got sick and nothing is worse than being sick away from home, if you know you know. The food still isn't very appetizing, however it gets by. I am super thankful for everyone who sent me a package with food!!! I am pretty sure it'll get me by for like another month and a half hahah there was a lot.  Next week at ...

Week 1

Hey everyone!  So I've completed 1 week at the missionary training center (MTC) today. The first day was extremely long like everyone here said how it will feel like a whole week in one day and it really did. Also I am typing on a Samsung phone so if I have a lot of spelling errors you know why hahaha. I'm actually really enjoying the MTC. My 3 roommates are pretty cool I really like one of them because we have a ton in common so that helps a lot when I feel homesick. Also we have a district of 14 people who are going state side, but everyone else in our residence is going to the Philippines. So you could say I'm learning some nice tagalog which is the language they have to learn and speak.  The food here is nothing compared to back home, but I guess it'll have to do because it's basically cafeteria food with no other option but every Friday we get papa John's which is awesome. The classes here are super spiritual. I honestly really enjoy the friendships...
